At CodeSprinter, a project doesn't start with the technology, but with the question of what's needed. We first want to understand which problem you want to solve, which goal you want to reach and in what context the software will be used. Only then do we look at the technical solution.
Software doesn't have to be more complicated than necessary. We'd rather choose a solution that fits practice well than technology for technology's sake.
At CodeSprinter you have direct contact with the person working on your project. That means questions, ideas and feedback can be discussed quickly and the lines stay short. Technical choices are explained clearly, so you understand why certain decisions are made and what their consequences are.
We deliberately take on a limited number of projects at a time. That way there's enough attention for every project and room to really think along.
We don't see software development as simply working through a list of wishes. To build a good solution, we try to understand the bigger picture. What does your organisation want to achieve? Who will use the software? Which choices are important and which are less so?
That is why we actively think along about priorities, options and trade-offs. If something can be simpler, we say so. If a choice has consequences for time, budget or use, we explain that. The goal is to arrive together at a solution that makes sense both in substance and technically.
CodeSprinter grew out of the wish to put technical knowledge to work for projects that contribute to something. Software can be much more than just a product. It can enable research, improve processes, make information more accessible, or help organisations carry out their societal mission better.
It's exactly those kinds of projects that give us energy. That is why CodeSprinter deliberately chooses organisations for which research or societal impact is an important part of the mission.
My interest in IT started young, driven by curiosity and the urge to build things myself. That interest eventually grew into my profession. Over the years I've worked on a wide range of technical projects. In doing so, I increasingly noticed that I get most excited about projects where technology serves a clear purpose. That ultimately became the foundation for CodeSprinter.
